This is to announce that at 1.03 a.m. (Sydney Daylight Savings time) on Friday 4th January 2002 EVE PARASKEVI COGAN was born into the world by Anastasia and Adam Cogan. (In Greek Paraskevi means Friday).
We can’t wait to hear Eve after Adam explained .NET to her.
The morning before – Ana had no idea what she was in for that evening…
As the impending evening draws near the sky was filled with thick smoke from all the bush fires raging around Sydney.
Eve was born in a Microsoft sponsored Birth Centre Room in the Royal Randwick Womens hospital. Adam thought God was giving him a sign…
Eve weighs 3.5 kgs, or 7.7 pounds if you’re not metric. As you can see Eve is a good greek baby, with lots of thick dark hair.
The labour went for a long, tiring and painful 24 hours. No real dramas or surprises, except the unexpected visit from Ana’s parents. Ana’s mum tried to help with advise such as “Ana please stop making noises, it is very embarrassing and other people might hear.” Ana chose not to have any pain killers or an epidural and is now taking a well deserved rest. Ana and little Eve are both doing very well.
Adam says Eve can have two weeks off before she starts her first C# lesson!
The Cogan family should be all back home together in the next couple of days.
